2 DIN system

DIN is an international standard for Car stereo / in-dash car entertainment units: 2 DIN simply means a standard double decker slot size. Two Din Systems are usually made up of a screen and DVD player, with the amplifier being built into the dashboard unit.

1 DIN system

This type of DVD player is similar to the 2 DIN in that it is mounted in the dash. However, the ! DIN only takes up half the space of the 2 DIN model.

Before purchasing any in car system it is always best to ask the supplier the size of the unit, do not take for granted that a supplier ststes that it will fit a particular car model.
